Don't Forget Darfur!
In this fast paced society, what's prevelant one day is passe the next. Just look at the news, you won't be able to get away from a story on Monday, but by Friday, any trace of what went on is buried underneath current events and breaking news.
The same thing can happen with human rights work. An issue that gets a lot of focus one day may lose its prominence by the next. But has the issue become any less important? Probably not. It's with this in mind that we remind you to keep fighting for justice in Darfur.
Even though you've probably worked on this issue for quite a bit by now, it's important to keep moving. There are many online actions at Amnesty's website that you can do. We're posting new ideas and new stories everyday so check back often to make sure you're up to date on what's going on.
Don't give up hope! The time to act is now!

My name is Alex and I am an activist that is trying to join in with thousands of others to help stop the genocide in Sudan. As a college student, my peers and I don’t have a substantial amount of money to donate to the movement but we have our voice and presence.
With that I am encouraging all fellow supporters of the Save Darfur movement to search on its behalf using GoodSearch. It works just like any other search engine but it gives a penny to Save Darfur every time I search. I have been using it for a month now and the organization has raised nearly $200 without any supporters spending a dime.
If only we could encourage the legions of people who support the innocent victims of Darfur, to participate in this no brainer fundraiser for a necessary cause, the amount raised would be significant.
Please join me, and encourage others to change the companies we support in an effort to end the nightmare occurring in Sudan.
Thanks for your support,
Alex Lake
