Learning more about Cedaw

Maybe you're not sure what exactly the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women entails.  It certainly is a long name, but a brief explanation of what the Women's Treaty is and a general overview of its history can be found on Wikipedia.  There's just enough information to pique your interest with a few facts that are important to know, like who has signed the treaty and how exactly discrimination against women is defined.  Also, it provides links to country and UN documents for those who must learn more.
