We are sad to announce the passing of a long-time anti-death penalty activist, who died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. Rachel achieved many great things in her short lifetime, and we will be forever grateful for her extraordinary contribution to this world. Please read the beautiful tribute to Rachel on the blog of Murder Victim's Families for Human Rights.

Rest in peace, Rachel King. You did a fantastic job of helping family members of murder victims, like Marietta Jaeger, cope with their losses and say no to the death penalty. There are other DP abolitionists, like Sister Helen Prejean, who will carry on the legacy you left for us. We will fight the non-violent fight of opposing the death penalty so that our corrupt U.S. society may be healed. We will miss you. :(
